Chapter Philanthropy

“I am so grateful and proud that our chapter partners with Autism Speaks to promote understanding and acceptance of those on the autism spectrum. We have the wonderful opportunity to support them through our yearly fundraisers such as our fall Step It Up 5K, Xiti with the Xi’s, and Works Autism Month activities. Each year, we have raised over $29,000 through our various fundraising events to help support families with children on the spectrum. I am so excited to see what more our chapter can do to help our community, and I couldn’t be more thankful to be surrounded by a sisterhood that reminds us that when we work together, we can really make an impact!”

Every fall, we organize a campus-wide 5K race to bring together the Georgia Tech community and raise money for Autism Speaks. Every sister sells tickets and tables in order to promote Autism Speaks, ensuring that everyone on campus has the opportunity to get involved. With baked goods, coffee, and Chick-Fil-A on the morning of the race, the 5K is one our favorite philanthropic events of the year.

In 2017 our chapter raised $31,000 and in 2018 we raised $30,000!

“Xiti” With the Xis & Nacho FrenXi

“Xiti” with the Xis and Nacho Frenxi are super energetic and fun events that Alpha Xi Delta hosts at the house to fundraise for Autism Speaks! Sisters cook baked ziti or create a nacho bar, raise awareness for Autism, decorate the house, and invite friends and family to come enjoy a delicious dinner. Xiti and Nacho Frenxi are Alpha Xi favorites - two traditions we are excited to continue!

For the month of April, Alpha Xi Delta sisters "light it up blue". This consists of us decorating campus with Autism speaks puzzle pieces, passing out blue puzzle piece cookies on Skiles walkway, and lighting up buildings around campus blue. The month culminates in the Autism Speaks walk, in which sisters volunteer at the registration desks.

Sisters and Service

Outside of our chapter philanthropy, sisters are also very passionate about being involved in service efforts on campus and in the surrounding Atlanta community. We have many sisters leading and participating in organizations such as Relay for Life, For the Kids, Sting Hunger, Habitat for Humanity, and many more. Every semester we partner up with other greek organizations on campus to give back to our community and philanthropies, giving us the chance to support each other's causes and share our mutual passion for service.
